Reiki

The benefits can range from helping with stress, insomnia, trauma, chronic pain, fatigue, foggy brain, depression, anxiety, limiting beliefs, negative, blocked or stagnant energy, past trauma, releasing anger, fear, worry & sadness, promote healing after surgery, headaches, emotional healing, improve digestion, balance chakras, & an overall greater wellbeing, balance life & inner happiness.

Anyone can benefit from Reiki; you do not need to be unwell.

Reiki will also assist in production & achievement of goals, helps in discovering your spiritual path, strengthens intuition & helps lead to contentment & Oneness.

Reiki can be translated from the Japanese, where it traditionally comes from, to “universal life energy”.

Reiki healing sessions can vary greatly. It is important to remember that Reiki knows where to flow & work for the client in exactly the way it needs to for them, at that time.

During a session, a Reiki practitioner acts as a channel, tuning into this energy & guiding it in your body.

Receiving Reiki can be quite an experience, the recipient usually feels warmth & tingling in some body part, but at times, you can also experience being lightheaded, relaxed, sleepy, emotional, sick, anxious, happy or peaceful. The individual experience is different, & it is best not to have too much expectation. The client will usually leave the session feeling relaxed.

Each Reiki In person session will be for 1 hour, allowing for 5-10 minutes for your being to realign before leaving (if you wish too).

You can also talk about any issues you are experiencing. pain, post-surgery, etc. beforehand or during the session or you can be quiet & “switch off” – do what feels right in the moment. If you fall asleep, that is also okay.

You will be asked to remove your shoes only, turn your phone to silent or off, & lie on the reiki table where a soft blanket will be placed over you. The room lighting is dimmed & you can just relax for the hour while I become a channel for Reiki for you.

You may feel warmth in my hands at times & some tingling in areas of your body at times. This is all normal.

If you are new to Reiki, the effects can be subtle to begin with while your energy centres are being cleansed & realigned. As you progress on your Reiki journey, the energy flow will become more obvious. Remembering that not only is every individual experience different but so is each session. Reiki channels through & goes to the areas you need it at the time of your treatment.

It is likely that you may feel very relaxed & calm & could possibly be sleepy.

Reiki works on improving & realigning your body, mind, spirit & soul. Assisting the body to start healing itself by unblocking energy centres. This can bring up emotions, physical tiredness or elevate energy, etc... The reactions can be very individual.

After a Reiki session it is suggested that you give yourself some quiet time, even if it’s just 20 minutes, to just “be”. Just sit & let yourself breathe & settle.

Please drink plenty of water to help flush the toxins that are being released.

Also try & keep your foods as healthy as possible, especially in the first 48 hours. Avoid alcohol & tobacco as much as you can initially & try to accept what you are feeling whether it is positive or negative.

Rebalancing our body’s energy centres can be a journey, but the result will be amazing, within & without.
